Social Media Guidelines
Although social media guidelines existed at UH-Clear Lake, there was no process to implement them. I updated university guidelines and created a new process for the account creation. From there, I developed content for a new web section to share resources with internal users:
Training
To support employees across the university managing social media, and to provide additional marketing and communications resources, I launched two training groups that meet regularly throughout the year. I developed training topics and presentations, and led virtual meetings to share resources. Topics covered:
Intro to UHCL social media guidelines and resources
Key social media metrics
Conducting a social media audit
Applying UHCL brand to social media
President's Twitter
UH-Clear Lake welcomed its first female and first black president in its 45 year history in 2017 after a 22-year tenure of the previous president. This major shift in vision and leadership for the university called for the elevation of the university’s brand through the lens of the president. I worked with the AVP of Marketing and Communications to develop an initial content plan and training to launch the president’s Twitter account.
