UHCL School Spirit Campaign

Role: Social Media Coordinator


Spirit day, called Blue and Green Wednesday at UHCL, is celebrated every week, which gives students the opportunity to show their school spirit by the school colors, blue and green. My goal was to raise brand awareness, increase student participation for spirit day and boost social media engagement. I created a weekly social media contest around spirit day that encouraged students to wear blue and green, take a photo and share it on social media using #BlueandGreenWednesday in order to win a free t-shirt. The campaign capitalized on user-generated content to drive other students to participate.

Graphics For this campaign, I created graphics to promote the contest each week. As a winner was announced each week, graphics were updated to feature students.

Participation

Students shared their school spirit each week in different ways. Their UGC helped organically spread brand awareness of UHCL on Instagram.
